Police are now looking for a security guard who was released from custody last week after he was recorded with a child he falsely claimed was his daughter.

In a Facebook post on Thursday, police issued a wanted poster for Andre Gulston of Orange Flats, Arima.

The post does not say what he is wanted for.

Anyone who sees him is asked to contact Insp Bain-Keller or Sgt Holder of the Child Protection Unit (CPU) at 668-2939.

The police CPU released the man on December 4, the day after he was caught on tape luring a visibly incoherent teen into his car.

She was reported missing the day the man was released.

The suspect was held on December 3 in Cumuto after the video was shared on social media.

Police said the 15-year-old later ran away from her Valencia home for the second time this year.

The man was not charged with any offence after the teen refused to be medically examined or give a statement to police.

In the video, the 44-year-old suspect, who was belligerent, claimed to be her father and bundled her into his car. while cursing those who objected to his doing so. He called the child "Renee," which police said is not the missing girl's name.

While pulling her away from the grip of women who were assisting the child after she complained of feeling unwell, the suspect was heard shouting: “This is my daughter! Baby, come on.

"She don’t need nothing, you know why? Is either in or out, is her choice. This is my f--king child.”
