Police find gun, ammo behind Carenage fish market
Police seized a pistol and ammunition in Carenage on Monday afternoon.
Police said the exercise, led by Snr Supt Thompson, Supt Smith, ASPs Henry, Baird, supervised by Insps Grant, Mohammed, Sgt Adams and including Cpl Bentick and PC Bishop, searched several areas in Carenage between 1 pm and 2.30 pm
During the exercise they were told a gun was hidden behind the fish market. They found the gun and 12 rounds of ammunition.
No one was held in relation to the find.
Carenage police are continuing enquiries.
