16 more test positive for covid19

The Ministry of Health confirmed that 16 more people tested positive for covid19, bringing the number of active cases to 708.

The latest Ministry of Health covid19 update indicated that of the 16 new positive cases, three came from Tobago. The cases reported came from samples taken between December 3 and 5.

The total number of positive cases stands at 6,767. There have been 5,937 recoveries and 122 deaths. A total of 629 people are in self isolation, 210 are in state quarantine facilities and 25 are in step-down facilities.

Of the 629 people in self isolation, 186 are in the prison system.
