Ten new covid19 cases

Trinidad and Tobago's confirmed covid19 cases have increased to 6,735 after the Ministry of Health recorded ten more on Friday.

In its daily update, the ministry said there are now730 active cases.

Three more people have been discharged from public health facilities and 20 patients in home isolation have recovered.

Covid19 deaths remain at 121.

The ministry reported that 5,884 patients have recovered.

There are 22 people waiting to be discharged from step-down facilities.

Forty-two people are hospitalised –14 at the Scarborough Regional Hospital at the Fort, three at Caura Hospital, two at St Ann's, three at the Arima Hospital, and 23 at the Couva Hospital and Multi-training facility.

It said 312 people are in state quarantine and 656 are in self-isolation at home.

In all 37,279 samples have been sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency, UWI and other local testing sites for covid19 testing.
