Almost ten months after police found three murder victims' bodies burnt beyond recognition in a house fire at Guapo, relatives are hoping to hold a funeral for them.

"We are still waiting for the DNA confirmation. We are waiting for answers as to what is going on with the case.

"February will mark one year since the incident. The funeral is long overdue," Lucyann Sandy told Newsday.

"The autopsies said they were chopped. I am just trying to cope."

Two of the victims are believed to be Sandy’s mother, Ceslyn "Linda" Farrell, 69, the grandmother of 17, and brother Patrick Farrell, 48.

The third is believed to be Seycelles Hannah, 41, whom Ceslyn Farrell took in about three months before the tragedy, owing to domestic woes. Hannah , the mother of two, previously lived at Point Fortin.

Investigators believe somebody killed the three, then set the house at Petrotrin Quarters on fire on the morning of February 28.

The remains of the structure have since been bulldozed.

Farrell, the owner, was the mother of six, and great-grandmother of two.

Patrick did not have any biological children, and had plans to marry his girlfriend this year.

"They did not set a date, but it was supposed to be before the end of the year," Sandy said.

Days after the triple homicide, investigators took DNA samples to confirm the identities.

No one has been charged.
