No ID yet for body found in PoS doctor's office

Police are still trying to confirm the identity of a man who was found dead in a doctor's office on Monday.

Police said the body was found on the second floor of Tori Park Suites on Park Street, at around 3 pm after a tenant from an office next door complained of an unpleasant smell. The tenant told the security guard at the building, who in turn called the police.

Homicide Investigators found the decomposing body of a man near the desk.

The body was taken to the Forensic Science Centre, St James, on Wednesday.

Newsday visited the centre and tried to speak to a group of people believed to be the man's relatives, but they declined to comment.

Homicide investigators said up to midday on Wednesday the man's identity was still unknown.

An autopsy is expected to be done on Friday.
