CUSTOMERS were evacuated and fire officers went to Trincity Mall on Tuesday, where a fire is believed to have broken out for at least the second time this year.

The origin of the fire and damage caused is unknown at this time and no one is believed to have been injured.

Newsday spoke with an officer attached to the Tunapuna Fire Station, which responded to the reports of the fire. A fire tender went to the southern end of the mall, at the entrance to Pennywise.

The officer said little more information could be shared at that time.
