TML gets helping hand from Southern Sales

SOUTHER Sales and Services Ltd (SSS), mindful of the “new normal” that the pandemic has thrust on all, has like many other corporate entities, risen to the challenge in an effort to ensure the well-being of the nation’s children.

The Trinidad Muslim League Inc (TML) was the recipient of a donation of high-quality multifunctional devices which a release from Southern Sales said, could be a game changer for students, parents, teachers and administration of the leaue.

Those students who were adversely affected by not being adequately equipped with the tools required for online classes, can now do so, availing themselves with these laptops they can access platforms for learning and research.

CEO of Southern Sales and Service Co Ltd Imitaz Ahamad and Chairman of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee Brian Mohammed, recently presented laptops to Farz Khan, TML president and Jumadeen Mohammed, Principal of TML Libertville primary School in Rio Claro.

The donation of 20 new Lenovo and HP laptops are equipped with Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10, Zoom and Internet Ready. "We expect these laptops will greatly assist with online learning in the current environment and in their future schooling," the Southern Sales release stated.

The TML officials expressed their appreciation for the kind and generous donation by the SSS Group adding this donation of devices will enhance the education of our students who have been experiencing difficulty accessing their online education.

The TML was founded in 1947 and over its existence, education has always been one if its main priorities. Today, TML manages two private kindergarten schools one in St Joseph and the other at Princes Town.

Their three Government-assisted primary schools located in San Fernando, Libertville and St. Joseph continue to be ranked among the best in their respective educational districts. All three primary schools have brought national recognition to the TML in the fields of academics as well as the co-curricular activities.

The Trinidad Muslim League continues to play a major role in nation-building as they mold students into critical thinkers and good all-round citizens, the release stated.
