Pensioner among two held for magazine, ammo

A 79-year-old woman is among two people held for the possession of ammunition in Arouca on Monday afternoon.

Police said members of the Northern Division Task Force Central and Intelligence Team went to a house on Mannakin Drive, Bon Air Gardens, Arouca, at around 4 pm where they searched several houses.

In one house, police found a magazine with four rounds of ammunition.

Two women ages 79 and 57 were arrested in relation to the find.

Arouca police are continuing enquiries.
