QUEEN’S HALL will host Tres Noches de Parang, three evenings of parang featuring the National Parang Association of TT (NPATT) headed by parang queen Alicia Jaggasar from December 4-6. Queen’s Hall, St Ann's is playing its part in bringing back live music events as the theatre starts to emerge from lockdown. General manager Garfield George said in a media release: “This is not only a unique opportunity to celebrate local Christmas music but also the wonderful emotions that come with experiencing it live on stage.

"In light of the fallout from the covid19 crisis on the entertainment industry, Queen’s Hall is committed to partnering with associate groups such as NPATT to not only provide a safe venue to perform live alongside patrons but also to earn income.”

Each night will feature three different ensembles, including BB Serenaders, Solo Para Ti, Los Amigos Cantadores, Los Ruisenores, Voz Music, Dominic Thompson and Friends, Amantes de Parranda and nine-time and reigning National Parang Champs, Los Alumnos de San Juan and 11-time parang queen Jaggasar. Emcee will be Holly Betaudier Jr who will continue in his father’s footsteps and pay tribute to the history of parang music. The 700-theatre seating will be scaled down to 35 per cent capacity which includes 250 patrons and event staff. All patrons will be subject to temperature checks and must adhere to social distancing throughout the facility including at seating location.

Tres Noches de Parang is the first of Queen Hall’s initiatives to partner with organisations to host events for local and international visitors.

NPATT president Jaggasar said: “We are happy to collaborate with Queen’s Hall and to be part of bringing back live music to the theatre and our fans.”

Limited tickets, which include a Christmas snack box to-go, are available only through the Queen's Hall box office which opens daily from 10 am to 6 pm.
