Father and son held with guns in Aranguez

Two men were arrested and two guns and ammunition seized by police on Thursday night.
Police said members of the Duncan Street Inter Agency Task Force co-ordinated by Insp Branch and led by Sgt Taylor, Cpls Thomas and Melville went to a home on Mahelal Street, Aranguez, at around 7.30 pm after receiving information of guns at the home.
When police got to the house they questioned a 59-year-old man, who led them to a bedroom, handed over an air rifle and said he did not have a permit for the weapon.
Police then went to another bedroom, used by the man's son, and found a Llama pistol with seven rounds of ammunition.
The man said he did not know anything about that.
Shortly after, the man's son came home and admitted the pistol belonged to him.
Both men were arrested.
Police from the North Eastern Division are continuing enquiries.
