Man held with gun after Mt D'Or chase

A 34-year-old Champs Fleurs man is in custody after police found him with a gun and ammunition on Sunday morning.

Police said at around 7.30 am, members of the Northern Division Task Force West received a tip that a man carrying a pistol was walking along Spring Valley Road, MtD'Or.

They went to the area and saw a man acting suspiciously.

He ran away but they caught up with him, searched him and found a pistol with two rounds of ammunition.

He was arrested and taken to the Tunapuna police station for questioning.
