THE Prime Minister on Saturday announced that Finance Minister Colm Imbert will be instructed to identify $10 million to be allocated to help workers in bars and restaurants who have been affected financially by the covid19 pandemic.

Dr Rowley also said Imbert will seek to allocate $20 million for the social services to assist self-employed people with families who have also suffered financially. He made the announcements at a news conference in Scarborough, Tobago.

Saying some 5,000 people applied dishonestly for the salary relief grant, Rowley said this slowed down the provision of relief of those who need it.
