The TT Electricity Commission (T&TEC) says it has distributed LED bulbs to over 120,000 customers since September 21. This was told to Newsday on Wednesday by corporate communications manager Annabelle Brasnell.

In a joint effort with the Ministry of Public Utilities to encourage the public to practise energy management and conservation, T&TEC began distribution of 400,000 LED bulbs.

Brasnell said the initiative was ongoing.

Customers receive a free pack of four LED bulbs when paying their bill. Information on the initiative is available on the company’s website.
