One new covid death, 12 additional cases

There has been one additional covid19 related death as of Sunday afternoon, bringing the total number of deaths to 109, a Ministry of Health media release reported.

The release announced the latest death was an elderly man with comorbidities.

In addition, there have also been 12 new recorded cases,.

Seven people  have been discharged from public health facilities.

The total number of people tested for the virus in TT as of Sunday stood at 33,118, while 5, 704 have been confirmed as positive cases.

According to the ministry's update on Saturday afternoon, 24 people tested positive for covid19.

It was also reported in Sunday's update that 741 people were in home isolation, while 160 people were warded at state quarantine facilities and 31 were  in step-down facilities.
