MusicTT's open call for Spotlight artistes

The TT Music Company Limited (MusicTT) has once again launched the open call for its Spotlight programme. This call is open to all artistes and instrumentalists within the local music industry who are looking to take their career to the next level in cohort four of the programme.

The Spotlight programme seeks to identify artistes and instrumentalists who have the potential to advance in the music industry and equips them with the knowledge and tools to leverage their creative talent on the local and worldwide market.

An independent panel will collaborate with MusicTT in order to transparently select six musical artistes to be a part of Spotlight. Artistes will then go through a series of workshops and training courses that will cater to their developmental needs including, but not limited to, vocal/ instrumental training, stage performance, brand and social media strategy, styling and EPK development, said a media release.

Spotlight launched its first intake in December 2017 with the selection of ten artistes by international judges. To date, two cohorts totalling 19 artistes have successfully completed Spotlight. The current third cohort of eight artistes who emerged from the Limited Edition Digital (LED) Spotlight Showcase, are still undergoing training until their final Showcase in 2021. Spotlight artistes have successfully secured international performance opportunities, tours, album launches and sync opportunities.

General manager of MusicTT Melissa Jiménez said in the release, “MusicTT is proud of the accomplishments of the spotlight artistes, past and current, to date. “Each artiste has shown significant growth by the end of the programme. We are looking forward to seeing what this new cohort brings and how we can help them reach their maximum potential.”
