The PNM screening committee has confirmed its 12 candidates for the upcoming THA election.

On Tuesday, committee chairman Tracy Davidson-Celestine had announced it had selected candidates in 11 of the 12 electoral districts up for grabs.

She said then the eight-member committee had not decided on a candidate for the Canaan/Bon Accord district.

Incumbent Clarence Jacob and Dominique Kerr were screened for the seat on Sunday at the party’s campaign office in Scarborough.

Jacob, the Secretary for Settlement, Urban Development and Public Utilities, won the seat in the 2017 THA election.

In a statement on Thursday, Davidson-Celestine confirmed Jacob has again been chosen to represent the district.

“The final 12 PNM candidates for the upcoming 2021 Tobago House of Assembly elections have been confirmed. The last electoral district for confirmation was Canaan/Bon Accord and the screening process for the PNM Tobago Council has now come to an end,” she said.
