32 new patients among 1,106 active covid19 cases

There have been 32 new cases of covid19 reported within the last 24 hours, bringing the total active cases to 1,106.

On Thursday there were 1, 236 active cases.

No new deaths were reported on Friday, so the total remained 107.

One person has been discharged from public health facilities and there are 161 recovered community cases.

There are 60 people in hospital, 46 at the Couva Hospital and Multi-Training Facility, with three in the intensive care unit and five in the high-dependency unit. There are 12 patients at the Caura Hospital and two at the Scarborough Regional Hospital at the Fort.

Thirty-three patients are in step-down facilities, 18 at the Claxton Bay Correctional Facility, 14 at UWI Debe and one in Tobago. There are 174 people in state quarantine facilities, and 1,013 people in home self-isolation.

The total number of cases since March is 5,668 and 4,455 patients have recovered.

A total of 33,014 people have been tested to date in the public sector.
