MINDFUL of the economic constraints many are facing given the fallout from the covid19 pandemic, Unicomer (Trinidad) Ltd has launched a Credi-Care initiative aimed at helping its customers who have lost their jobs or are operating on reduced income or reduced household income to manage their debt repayments.

A release issued on Tuesday stated that the Credi-Care initiative is an assistance programme which offers a host of options to customers impacted negatively by covid19 and tailored to their individual needs.

For customers who were in good standing prior to covid19 and were subsequently retrenched, Unicomer (Trinidad) Ltd – whose retail brands include Courts, Courts Optical, Ashley Furniture HomeStore, RadioShack, Lucky Dollar and Servitech – can process 12 months’ worth of installments on their behalf, through its Insurance Protection.

For customers who need a lower installment, Unicomer can refinance their accounts for a longer period of time and revisit the rate applied. For customers who are currently laid off, there can be a temporary deferral of payments.

“Credi-Care can be accessed at any of our stores. Our company is known for innovation, flexibility and affordability and as we continue to navigate this pandemic, Credi-Care is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to these things, even in spite of the circumstances we all face, we care for our customers and we are in this for the long haul,” stated Director of Consumer Finance Devon Romero.

“We understand that these are uncertain times and we are here to help. Our aim is to preserve our customers solid credit standing. As a customer where your household income has been impacted by covid19 and so your ability to make payments, we encourage you to contact us to access the options available to you under this new programme,” Romero added.

You can access these flexible options at Unicomer (Trinidad) Ltd by contacting their Customer Contact Centre at 800-4CCC (4222) or you can send an email to creditsupport@unicomer.com
