Teenager charged for robbing Penal cop

A teenager was expected to appear at the Juvenile Court on Tuesday after he was charged with robbing a policeman.

The 17-year-old, from Quarry Village, Siparia was held by Penal police for robbery with aggravation after a report was filed on October 19.

Police said the teenager allegedly held police at gunpoint while two of his colleagues were exercising at the Commonwealth Recreation Ground in Penal.

Reports said the teenager took a policeman’s car keys, his gun and wallet containing cash, ID and other personal items.
