Man shot while sitting in car in San Juan

A 27-year-old Santa Cruz man is being treated for gunshot wounds after he was shot several times while sitting in the driver's seat of his car in San Juan on Monday night.

Police said the man was in his car on Jackson Street, Petit Bourg, San Juan, at around 7.40 pm when a man in a hoodie approached and shot at him several times before running away.

Residents heard the gunshots and saw the man bleeding.

He was taken to the hospital by passers-by, was treated and is listed in stable condition.

San Juan police are continuing enquiries.
