8 new covid19 cases, 67 more recover

THE total number of active covid19 cases is now 1,321 after eight new cases were recorded overnight.

In its 4 pm release on Sunday, the Health Ministry said the total number of confirmed covid19 cases in TT is now at 5,511.

In addition, 67 recoveries were reported overnight with the total number of recoveries moving from 4,018 to 4,085.

The total number of samples sent for testing is now 32,234 and 38 patients are currently at step-down facilities, 260 are in state quarantine, and 1,211 are self-isolating.

No new deaths were recorded, with the death toll remaining 105.
