Two held for drugs in Tunapuna, St Joseph

A joint exercise between St Joseph and Tunapuna police led to the seizure of a quantity of drugs and the arrest of two men.

Police said members of the Northern Division Task Force West went to Dhani Road, St Augustine, where they found 206 grams of marijuana.

The 58-year-old man who was at the house was arrested.

Shortly afterwards, police went to Greaves Street, Tunapuna, where they found a 22-year-old man with 14 grams of cocaine.

Both men are expected to be charged with the possession of drugs for trafficking.

The police team was led by Snr Supt Ramkhelawan, Insp Pitt and Sgt La Pierre.
