Staff of the South-West Regional Health Authority (SWRHA) took part in the Jerusalema dance challenge at the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH) on Thursday afternoon.

The challenge has taken the internet by storm. People worldwide have been sharing videos of themselves dancing to the global hit song Jerusalema by South African DJ and record producer Master KG, featuring South African singer/songwriter Nomcebo Zikode.

Kevon Gervais, SWRHA’s manager of corporate communications, said, "SWRHA puts patients first, and we (SWRHA) are looking at innovative ways to keep staff engaged.

"Companies across the world, including two in TT, have already joined the challenge. Today was the videotaping of the dance – for only a few minutes."

About 15 people, including Gervais, took part, near the emergency department.

Gervais said they practised for a week after work.
