Pleasantville man denied bail for attempted rape

A man who allegedly attacked a woman while she was putting out the garbage last week Monday in San Fernando faced a magistrate on Thursday charged with three offences, including attempted rape and robbery with violence.

PC Clarence of the Mon Repos CID on Wednesday also charged Roger Greene with one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

Greene lives in Pleasantville, a release from police said on Thursday.

The victim reported that last week Monday, Greene allegedly entered the property at Richard Street. She was taking out her garbage and he forced her back into the house. He also beat her,then robbed her of $6,300 and a quantity of foreign currency.

The release said Mon Repos CID recovered $6,200 from Greene.

CSI personnel who visited the scene used fingerprints to identify the accused.

The magistrate denied bail and adjourned the case to next week Friday.
