Chaguanas security guard held for larcency

Chaguanas police arrested a 32-year-old security officer in connection with a break-in and larceny at the primary school where he works.
The school principal reported that she locked all doors and windows before she left on Wednesday.
A release on Thursday from the police said she discovered the padlock on the gate to the school library pried opened when she returned the next day.
A mini sound system and a speaker, with a combined value of $4,000, were missing.
Chaguanas CID responded and WPC Sargent led investigations that resulted in the arrest of the suspect.
He remains in custody, assisting detectives with the investigations.
Police did not divulge any additional information.
