Stolen car found, Penal man arrested

Less than a day after it was reported stolen, a Nissan Tiida car was found and one man arrested after a police exercise in San Juan and Penal.

Police went to several garages in San Juan and found the car with false licence plates at 9th Street, Barataria. They traced the registration number and found the car had been stolen from Grand Bazaar on Monday.

One man from Seemungal Trace, Penal Rock Road, Penal, was arrested.

The exercise was co-ordinated by Snr Supt Ramkhelawan and supervised by Insp Joseph and members of the Northern Division Special Investigations Unit.

Northern Division police are continuing enquiries.
