Covid19: Deaths now at 97, 1,505 active cases

ONE more person has died of covid19 and one more person has contracted the virus in the last 24 hours, according to figures from the Ministry of Health’s latest update (No 517), issued on Monday evening.

The update listed total covid19 deaths at 97 people, compared to the 96 reported on Sunday.

The update gave no details, such as age, gender and comorbidities.

The statement said TT now has 1,505 active cases (Sunday's figure was 1, 549), with 81 patients in hospital.

Some 52 people are in step-down facilities, 299 are in state quarantine and 1,372 are in home self-isolation.

The update said TT has had 5,298 covid19 cases, of whom 3,696 have recovered.
