3 charged after naked man beaten, robbed

Three Tobago women were ordered by the court to stay 100 feet from a man after they were slapped with charges stemming from an assault which was filmed and posted on social media.

The women appeared before the Scarborough magistrates virtual court on Monday.

On October 8, a video circulated on social media showing a man sitting naked on a bed while a woman beat him with a belt.

An investigation led to the arrest of security officers Dachel Ashby, 19, and Reacheal Martinez, 36, as well as Jennieve Gardiner, 28.

Ashby, who was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, false imprisonment and robbery with aggravation ($127), was granted $75,000 bail. Gardiner and Martinez, who were charged for false imprisonment and robbery, were each granted $60,000 bail.

All three women are from Windward Road, Mt St George.

PC Adams of the CID laid the charges.

Two warrants have been issued for a fourth person involved.
