Blaxx’s GoFundMe appeal reaches US$13,000

Soca singer Dexter “Blaxx” Stewart’s GoFundMe page has crossed US$13,000. The appeal was set up three days ago and aims to reach US$30,000 to assist with his medical expenses.

Blaxx was hospitalised in a private facility again on Tuesday with lung and kidney issues. He recently had surgery.

By Friday afternoon US$13, 625 had been raised.

On Wednesday his manager Giselle Gellineau-Penrose asked the public to pray for him.

On Thursday she told Newsday that Blaxx was improving slowly and they were happy about the love and support he was receiving from all over the world.
