40 new covid19 cases

FORTY more people have tested positive for covid19, the Health Ministry’s 4 pm update said on Saturday.

The release said the 40 cases were from samples taken between October 14 and 16. The death toll remains at 95.

There are now 1,602 active cases.

Thirty-two community cases who were home-quarantined recovered and seven people were discharged from public facilities.

There are 86 patients in hospital with nine of them are in a high dependency unit while seven are in ICU. In the step-down facilities there are 54 patients.

To date 31,453 people have beentested for the virus and there have been 5,281 cases.

There are 1,462 people at home in self-isolation and 307 in state quarantine facilities.
