Secretary of Health Tracy Davidson-Celestine said there will be no cuts in her division. Davidson-Celestine was speaking on Tuesday at a press briefing after a THA retreat to discuss its budget for 2020/2021.

She said, "We cannot afford any cuts at the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development. We have received an allocation of approximately $568 million for recurrent expenditure and $30 million for our development allocation. Of course we have to treat with commissioning of Roxborough Hospital and Moriah Health Centre as well as to provide care and support for those persons affected by covid19 and otherwise. At this point, we cannot affect any cuts within the division. We will try our best to ensure we treat with all priorities for the fiscal period."
