TT crosses 5,000 covid19 cases, 3 more deaths

The country has crossed 5,000 covid19 cases, with 58 new patients recorded on Friday.The covid19 death toll also has risen by three, bringing the total to 89. In the 4 pm Ministry of Health update, the number of cases was reported as 5,021. There are 1,776 active cases, with 115 patients hospitalised, 1,625 patents in home self-isolation and 159 in state quarantine facilities.

The ministry also reported 3,150 patients have recovered and 36 patients are in step-down facilities waiting to be discharged.

The total number of samples sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency, UWI and other local covid19 testing sites is 30,208.
