CEPEP donates 8 desktops to 4 primary schools

The Community-Based Environmental Protection and Enhancement Programme (CEPEP) Company Limited has donated eight desktop computers to four primary schools to assist with providing online education to students.

In a release issued on Tuesday, the company said the four schools which received the donations are Ste Madeleine Government Primary School, Diego Martin Government Primary School, Chaguanas Government Primary School, and the Pleasantville Government Primary School.

Each of the schools received two desktops during a small distribution ceremony at the CEPEP head office on Ste Madeleine.

CEO Keith Eddy said, “It is our duty as an organisation, geared towards building communities, to assist where we can.

“We urge other corporate entities to assist these schools and ensure that teachers and students are provided with the resources they need to function effectively as we navigate through the turbulent waters of the COVID-19 pandemic. It is our hope that these devices make it easier for teachers to execute their duties.”
