Policeman on indecent assault charges against female officer

An acting senior superintendent, last assigned to the Emergency Response Unit, was granted $100,000 bail on Wednesday after he was charged with indecent assault and serious indecency against a junior female officer.

In a media release, the police service said Peter Dominique appeared before Justice of the Peace Abraham Ali for the offences. He will appear in court on January 7, 2021.

The female officer made a report to the Professional Standards Bureau (PSB) about the incident on July 21.

Dominique was charged by PSB officers under the supervision of acting senior superintendent Ramnarine Samaroo while superintendent Montrichard, along with corporals Marshall, Bissessar and Moore, conducted the investigation.
