3 covid19 deaths, total now 79

ANOTHER person with pre-existing medical conditions has died from covid19, making it three deaths reported on Saturday and 79 overall.

According the Health Ministry’s 6 pm update, the most recent death was an elderly man with medical complications. This death came after the ministry announced in the 10 am update that two elderly people, a man and one woman, both with pre-existing conditions, died of the virus.

The 6 pm update added that six new cases were reported from the morning update. The total number of positive cases is now 4,715 with 1,716 people recovering from community spread and 1,086 discharged from public health facilities.

There are now 1,834 actives cases out of a total of 32,122 samples submitted to CARPHA which were done at public and private institutions.
