Escaped shooting suspect recaptured in Chaguanas

After two days on the run, 22-year-old shooting suspect Isaac Lovell was recaptured by police.

A police media release on Friday said Lovell of Five Rivers, Flood Gate, Arouca, was recaptured in Chaguanas on Thursday night and handed over to Northern Division Police, who are expected question him.

Police said Lovell was detained in relation to a shooting in La Horquetta last Friday and taken to the Adult Surgical Ward of the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, for treatment for a gunshot wound.

He escaped custody at the hospital on Tuesday.
