Tobagonian Kyronn Cordner will display his culinary skills on the popular American reality-based cooking television show series, Chopped. The Tobago chef will make his debut when the show airs on the Food Channel at 8pm on Tuesday.

Cordner, now based in Texas, made the announcement via his Facebook page. Originally from Milford Court, Bon Accord, Cordner is the executive chef at Mako’s on the Creek restaurant in Texas.

THA Chief Secretary and Secretary of Tourism Ancil Dennis on Tuesday said he was tremendously proud of the Signal Hill Secondary School alumni.

Dennis said, “It is always in the best interest of this island and the country when our very own sons and daughters of the soil pursue their aspirations in such a way that it highlights the country, specifically in this case, Tobago as a people.

“I wish him well and of course others who continue to fly the Trinidad and Tobago flag wherever they are, in whatever sphere or career path they choose. It is something that I would continue to support and admire, especially when it is done by young people.”
