Police search for escaped Arouca gunman

Police are searching for a man who escaped police guard in Mt Hope on Tuesday morning.

He has been identified as Isaac Lovell of LP42, Five Rivers Flood Gate, Arouca.

Police said that at about 5.20 am he managed to give a constable the slip while under guard at the Eric Williams Medical Science Centre in Mt Hope.

They said the escapee is wearing a white jersey and red three-quarter trousers.

He was held in St Joseph last Friday while seeking medical attention after a shoot-out with police in La Horquetta earlier that day.
