Ensnaring the gullible with astrology
THE EDITOR: I have found myself viewing TV quite a lot as a result of staying at home during the pandemic. With great concern I have noticed the high incidence of prime-time advertisements by local astrologers. They have to be financially expansive in order to keep this up.
It means that quite a large number of our people use these services. I find it difficult to accept that our country has such a large population of mundane intellect in the 21st century. Astrology has very little science in it.
Some of the advertising suggest “guaranteed” results. Is there something wrong with this? Can the Consumers Affairs Division do something about it? Can investigative reporters look into this?
To me it seems to be advantage being taken of the gullible in our society.
