Media personality Hansley Ajodha has praised the health professionals at Caura Hospital and the Siparia County Medical Officer of Health for the care they provided him as he suffers from covid19.

However, the medical workers as brilliant, hard-working, competent, skilled, and kind. He said the care and support of medical workers was of international standards, so much so that he suggested that the Prime Minister and Minister of Health, Terrence Deyalsingh, consider medical tourism as a way to diversify the economy after the covid19 curve was flattened.

“Let me start with Caura Nurses... My God!! Their efficiency left me at a loss for words, and they treated everyone in that ward equally. Tears come to my eyes as I remember them, God bless everyone of them. I hope to see you again one day. The young doctors at Caura who so worked hard to stabilise me, may your careers blossom and find success.

“To the Siparia CMO your five and six daily phone calls to update my status makes me feel like I have an angel by my side. And you sent help when my oxygen ran low and my pulse became abnormal.”

He also encouraged Dr Rowley and Deyalsingh to continue fighting the virus.

“I know this covid is frightening, it's confusing, it's uncharted and it has everyone in a quagmire. I know this is difficult for you, but keep up the fight.”

On August 29, Ajodha posted that he was in day two of official self-quarantine after being tested for covid19 at the Siparia Health Facility on August 24. At the time he was not feeling well and was “extremely uncomfortable.”

On September 7 he confirmed that he was positive for covid19, that he would quarantine at home, and be monitored daily via phone.

He encouraged people to obey the health regulations to protect their family.

“This is the closest thing to death I've experienced, and I do not wish this on any one. This will take your life easily, and the experience of the illness is hell on earth. Please be safe.”

Although he did not call Ajodha's name, Deyalsingh spoke about the praise during the ministry's virtual health briefing on Saturday.
