Man found murdered in Arima

A yet-to-be identified man was found murdered in Arima on Saturday morning after residents reported hearing gunshots.

Police said around 9 am, residents of Calvary Branch Road heard a gunshots and when they checked they at first found nothing. A short while after, they saw the body of a man in the grass, off the roadway near a tree. The man, believed to be in his late twenties to early thirties, was wearing a red jersey, camouflage three-quarter pants and a pair of blue slippers. His body had gunshot wounds.

Anyone with information on the identity of the man is asked to contact the Arima Police Station or the Homicide Bureau.

His killing took the murder toll to 305, 93 less for the same period in 2019.
