Through the Adopt-a-School initiative, three children’s homes received laptop donations on Friday, as online classes persist due to covid19.

The donations which were made by corporate sponsors were distributed by Education Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly and minister in the ministry Lisa Morris-Julian to the Cyril Ross Nursery, St Jude’s Home for Girls and Hope Centre.

Permanent secretary Savita Seebaran, Hope Centre Home manager, Sandra Stapelton, manager of the Cyril Ross Nursery and senior home supervisor of the St Jude’s Home for Girls Amelia Baptiste, attended small handing over ceremony at the ministry's head office on St Vincent Street, Port of Spain.

The Ministry of Education has conducted similar exercises over the past month, where 70 laptops were donated to early childhood care and education (ECCE) teachers and 98 laptops were given to public special schools for children with special educational needs.
