86 more covid19 cases

Eighty six more people have tested positive for covid19 between 6 pm on Wednesday and 10 am on Thursday.

The latest release from the Ministry of Health on Thursday morning said these new patients will be processed for admission at the discretion of the county medical officers of health.

Fifteen people have been discharged from public health facilities. There were 52 recovered community cases. Recovered community cases refer to people who were previously covid19-positive and in self-isolation at home, and subsequently met the discharge criteria and were released from self-isolation.

The number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA), the UWI, and other local sites for covid19 testing increased by 104, from 29,857 on Wednesday evening to 29961.

The number of deaths remains at 67.
