TT crosses 4,000 infection mark

THIS country has crossed the 4,000 infection mark with the Ministry of Health, stating in its daily 6 pm covid19 update on Tuesday that there were 4,026 confirmed infections.

The country has now gone two days without recording a new covid19 death. The last three deaths were recorded on Sunday. In the ministry’s 6 pm update, the number of deaths stood at 65. Of the 4,026 positive cases, 2,090 are active. On Tuesday morning, 29 people tested positive while there were 81 new cases recorded on Tuesday evening. The 6 pm update also said 845 people have been discharged.

The number of samples submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency, the UWI and other local sites for covid19 testing is 29,600.
