Three men shot in Arima

Three men narrowly escaped death when they were shot while sitting in a parked car in Maturita, Arima on Monday night.

Police said the men ages, 21, 22 and 24, were sitting in a white Mitsubishi Lancer on Hoyte Avenue Extension at around 10.45 pm when their car was approached by a masked man who shot them several times.

A passerby heard the gunshots and saw the men bleeding in the car before driving them to the Arima Hospital where they were treated.

Two of the men are said to be in stable condition while the third who was shot in his chest, leg and thigh was last listed in critical condition.

Arima police are continuing enquiries.
