Acting Medical Chief of Staff Dr Victor Wheeler has assured that a shortage of syringes at the Scarborough General Hospital is being addressed.

At Tuesday's virtual press conference hosted by the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development, Wheeler responded to a question about a shortage of syringes at the hospital and health centres.

He said, "There was a temporary shortage of syringes, particular 1ml, 3ml and 5ml syringes. That was as a result of lack of receipt of supplies from the supplier but I'm told we will be receiving a stock tonight, so by tomorrow that problem will be eliminated."
