Worker shot dead at Trincity jobsite

A 48-year-old worker was shot dead at a construction site in Trincity on Monday afternoon.

Police said Gregory Morales was at the Trincity construction site near SuperPharm, around 2.40 pm when a man walked onto the barricaded compound and shot him once behind his head before running away. Morales' co-workers called the police.

Members of the Northern Division Emergency Response Patrol and the Arouca police station responded and the district medical officer declared Morales dead at the scene.

Police said Morales, who lived at Brazil Village, did not have any criminal record.
