5 covid19 deaths over weekend

FIVE covid19 deaths have been recorded between Saturday and Sunday, the Ministry of Health has resported. There was one death on Saturday and four on Sunday with the covid19 death toll moving to 65.

After the death on Saturday, three were reported in the ministry's 10 am update on Sunday and then another death was reported in the 6 pm update on Sunday.

Thirteen new cases were reported in the 10 am update on Sunday and an additional 35 was reported in the 6 pm update on Sunday.

The total number of samples which have tested positive at public and private facilities now stands at 3,901 with total number of active cases being 2,083.

The number of people discharged from public health facilities as of 6 pm on Sunday was 835 and the mumber of recovered community cases are 918.

The ministry said that the latest fatality, as of 6 pm on Sunday, is that of an elderly woman with comorbidities.
