Man hides gun in police car

AN Arouca man has confessed to hiding a gun used to commit a robbery on Monday, in a police vehicle in which he was seated on being arrested for the said robbery on Henry Street in Arouca around noon that same day.

A police report said the man was held and brought in for questioning and during interrogation, confessed to hiding the gun in the emergency response patrol police vehicle which was used to transport him to the Arouca Police Station. The car was searched and a .380 pistol loaded with four rounds of ammunition were recovered.

Investigations are ongoing.
